Kris loved all things pertaining to history and studied about the history of many different cultures, time periods, and people. He was a very big fan of Carolina Hurricanes Ice Hockey, Duke Basketball, and Green Bay Packers Football. She was born May 12, 1947 in Durham to the late Andrew Gregory Kanatselis and Mary Elizabeth Jones Walker. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Laura Ann; brother, Andrew Clark Kanas and her sister, Betsy Marie Garrard. Elnora worked in textiles before retiring and enjoyed volunteering at the Hospice Thrift Store.
